Polo is such a graceful sport full of wonderful ponies and players and inspiring events. So it saddens me to read these outbursts by one or two members of the polo community towards individuals new to polo. Strong opinions can come over to others as unattractive. Ones ability to handle sitiuations or personalities unbecoming with kindness and generousity is by far the more effective method of managing things.
It does not do our sport any favours by spreading ill will. I believe it best go quietly and keep your thoughts to yourself rather than venting your spleen in public. Consider any offender as an opportunity by being even more gracious and kind hearted. Better to hope your good natured behaviour may have some influence. That is the way of the polo we all love and admire.
